Baby bath: bathtub, bath seat, thermometer — the essentials

Bain bébé : baignoire, anneau de bain, thermomètre — les essentiels TrioNest™

Baby's bath time is a special moment of the day — soothing, stimulating, and conducive to parent-child bonding. But to make this moment safe and enjoyable, you need the right equipment. TrioNest™ presents all the essentials

🛁 Baby bathtub: which one to choose?

There are several types of bathtubs adapted to baby's age:

  • The countertop bathtub: ideal for 0 to 6 months, can be placed on a counter or in an adult bathtub. Lightweight and practical.
  • The freestanding bathtub: prevents bending over, very ergonomic for parents. More cumbersome but very comfortable.
  • The evolving bathtub: adapts from birth up to 2-3 years thanks to included accessories (hammock, seat).

🐟 The bath ring: useful or dangerous?

The bath ring keeps baby seated in the adult bathtub from about 6 months of age. It is practical, but be careful: it never replaces adult supervision. Never leave baby alone in the bath, not even for a second.

  • Choose a ring with strong suction cups and an ergonomic seat
  • Check CE certification and maximum supported weight

🌡️ The bath thermometer: essential

The ideal bath temperature for baby is 37°C. A bath thermometer is essential to avoid burns or chilling. Choose a floating model with a digital display for more precision.

🧴 Other bath essentials

  • Hooded bath towel: soft, absorbent, with a hood to keep baby warm
  • Soft washcloth: organic cotton preferably
  • Gentle soap and shampoo: paraben-free, sulfate-free, pH neutral
  • Non-slip mat: absolute safety in the bathtub
  • Cotton and wipes: for the face and folds

⚠️ Absolute safety rules

  • Never leave baby alone in the bath, not even for 1 second
  • Always check the temperature with the thermometer
  • Prepare all equipment before starting the bath
  • Empty the bathtub immediately after use
