Babies cannot regulate their temperature like adults. If they're too bundled, they risk overheating. If they're not bundled enough, they can get cold. TrioNest™ gives you all the keys to dress your baby correctly according to the season and temperature.
🌡️ The golden rule: one more layer than you
The basic principle is simple: dress your baby with one more layer of clothing than you. If it's 20°C and you're wearing a t-shirt, your baby will need a t-shirt + a light jacket.
🌞 In summer (over 24°C)
- Short-sleeved bodysuit or light sleepsuit
- No hat except after bathing
- Anti-UV hat for outdoor excursions
- Sunscreen from 6 months (before that, avoid direct exposure)
- Be careful of overheating in the stroller or car seat
🍂 In spring and autumn (15-23°C)
- Long-sleeved bodysuit + trousers
- Cardigan or light jacket
- Socks
- Hat if windy or cool
❄️ In winter (under 10°C)
- Thermal long-sleeved bodysuit
- Warm pajamas or fleece jumpsuit
- Coat or outdoor romper
- Hat, mittens, thick socks
- Sleeping bag TOG 2.5 or 3.5 for the night

🛏️ At night: sleeping bag rather than duvet
The sleeping bag is an essential accessory for the night. It replaces the duvet (dangerous before 2 years old) and keeps baby at the right temperature all night long.
- TOG 0.5: summer, over 24°C in the room
- TOG 1: spring/autumn, 20-24°C
- TOG 2.5: winter, 16-20°C
- TOG 3.5: very cold, under 16°C
⚠️ Signs that baby is too hot or too cold
- Too hot: sweaty nape, red cheeks, agitation, rapid breathing
- Too cold: cold hands and feet, pale lips, crying
- Tip: touch the baby's nape — it's the best indicator of their body temperature
